MOBDER, the Turkish Furniture Manufacturers Association is a UEA member since 2006; it joined the UEA for networking activities, strengthening of the association and exchange of European information and experiences. FACTS 3 will target 30 members, then all its members and will also multiply the communication towards the whole industry (10,000 firms and 300,000 employees).

EFBWW has members in the furniture sector in 19 European countries, of which 16 EU MS and candidate states. The Autonomous Trade Union for the Wood and Paper Industry is a branch of the Union of Autonomous Trade Unions of Croatia which is a voluntary and interest association of workers that works systematically aiming at improving the quality of jobs, working and living conditions. The UATUC, as an autonomous and voluntary interest organization of trade unions, was established on the 13th of May 1990. Today the UATUC affiliates 23 branch trade unions, organizes 211.000 members and 60.000 retired persons. The UATUC employs 119 employees in 6 regional and 21 county offices.

The Bosnian Wood and Furniture Manufacturers Federation is based in Bosnia-Herzegovina. It has been a UEA member since 1999. The association has more than 200 members employing 12,000 workers. Many of their members have requested additional information and customized technical and financial assistance to comply with the EU “acquis” with which they are not yet familiarized. In Bosnia-Herzegovina, some 625enterprises employ 25,150 persons and their production value reached 162 million Euros in 2008 of which 78% is exported mainly to the EU27.

The Serbian woodworking and furniture producing cluster "Netwood" was established in 2007 as a non-profit association of citizens working to promote a cluster concept and to unite woodworking and furniture producers. FACTS 3 will target in a first step, 10 members, then all its members and will also multiply the communication to the industry (some 2500 SMEs and 30000 employees).

The Macedonian Wood Industry Cluster – CERM/CDI was also created in 2007. Many of their members have requested additional information and customized technical and financial assistance to comply with the EU “acquis” with which they are not yet familiarized. FACTS 3 will target in a first step 84 members and more than 5000 workers, then all its members and will also multiply the communication to the industry.

The Montenegrin Wood Processors Association (MWPA) was founded in 2008. The association has 72 members. The number of employees varies significantly depending on the time of the year. The furniture processors have their workforce number quite stable, but the raw material producers vary heavily. The number of workers in the wood and furniture sectors should peak at approximately 1400.

The Association of Wood Processors of Kosovo (AWPK) was founded in 2004. The main function of the Association of Wood Processors of Kosovo is to become a joint voice in promoting the interest of the Kosova wood industry, and to expand knowledge and the use of the AWPK members products. There are 1480 enterprises registered as wood processors in Kosovo. The AWPK accounts for some 80 of the most important companies, employing over 1,800 workers.
